Michael A. Alesia & Associates was formed as an Illinois professional corporation in 1998. Initially the firm specialized in representing construction contractors and injury cases with a mission of offering a suburban-based law firm with the practical experience of downtown law firms. Today, the firm's specialized practice has evolved into representing real estate developers, banks and lenders, real estate brokers, general contractors, subcontractors of almost every trade, architects, manufacturers and retail business operators in grocery, restaurant, medical and entertainment.

Our firm also continues to represent injured persons on a selective basis. Michael Alesia's experience representing insurance companies in injury cases has proven to be valueable in representing victims of injury claims. The firm's success has allowed the injury practice to concentrate on cases that involve catastrophic injuries and death. Since 2004, the firm has recovered millions from insurance companies for its clients.  Our firm also represents insureds in excess policy claims.

The firm's construction practice has thrived from day one. At the start, the firm negotiated subcontractors' agreements and handled their mechanics lien filings and construction litigation. That practice has evolved into representation of every aspect of complex real estate deals from land acquisition, to zoning and other land use issues, to financing, to sales transactions...and every part in between. We also represent lenders from time to time and serve as local counsel for out-of-state real estate developers. Since 2001, the firm has handled commercial real estate transactions in the hundreds of millions.
